Experience

Lead Product Designer at Qured | London 🇬🇧
May 2023 - Present

Qured is the employee benefit that offers personalised, proactive, and pain-free health screening. From cancer, through to menopause and fertility, Qured's tests are tailored for each employee whatever their stage of life and completed in the comfort of their home.

I am actively involved in implementing new tests for Qured's clients, ranging from guiding users on inputting LFD results in the app to facilitating at-home cervical and bowel cancer tests. Following UK regulations, I also need to translate these instructions into print. I have never worn so many hats in my career as I do at Qured. Responsibilities including motion, illustrations, iconography, brand development, print, photography, art direction and others. Another significant aspect of my time at Qured involves crafting a new visual design language—a modern approach to their design system. I led a fresh re-skin of the app to align with the brand and enhance the user experience of the app, contributing to Qured's consistent growth in offerings.

Lead Designer at Arrival | London 🇬🇧
Aug 2020 - May 2023 | 2 years and 10 months

Exciting completely new experience working with vehicles, including buses, vans of multiple sizes, and cars. My main focus was on the HMI (Human Machine Interface) for these vehicles, as well as the internal and external screens of the bus. I worked on teams ranging in size from three to six designers to build the entire vehicle operating system. We created a 2.1 and a 3.0 version of the Operating System. One significant experience I gained as a designer in this role was using Protopie extensively for prototyping—which happened consistently throughout my time at Arrival.

Senior Designer at Babylon Health | London 🇬🇧
May 2019 - Aug 2020 | 1 year and 4 months

Working closely to the Branding & Design and the UX teams to bring to life a Motion Design Framework that not only would take the product to the next level but also to feel on brand to what’s currently implemented. I created principles for that to happen in order to convey the correct emotions. A few other principles were very relevant such as to not overwhelm users with too much animation or being inspired by the human body and nature—but no other principle were more interesting or relevant than using motion to support and shape the user experience of the app.

Senior Product Designer at DRIVETRIBE | London 🇬🇧
August 2018 - May 2019 | 10 months

Responsible for leading the design and future direction of the product. Identified opportunities to improve the process used at DriveTribe from User Research to approved Visual Designs. Throughout the process, I worked with and briefed Data Analysts to validate new features to drive the direction of the product. Day to day the product owner and I would set activities for the team—whilst mentoring other designers to ensure the quality of the delivery.

The main products were the DriveTribe platform (Large/Small Web and Native IOS/Android) and Joyride App (Native IOS/Android).

Interactive Designer at FCV Interactive | Vancouver 🇨🇦
November 2012 - July 2013 | 9 months

Mainly focused on developing creative fully responsive web pages. Go mobile was the mantra. The relationship with the UX team was constant and primordial to ensure our projects succeeded at the highest level.

Web Designer at Clicksoft/ Fagga GL | Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷
March 2010 - June 2011 | 1 year and 4 months

Web design studio. Developed Flash banners, mail marketing, and websites using HTML and CSS. Was heavily involved with the creative process of all projects.

Visual Designer and Flash Animator at Educandus | Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷
2007 - 2008 | 1 year

Responsible to create and develop digital media to support classes for more than 5 thousands schools in Brazil. The biggest projects at the company consisted of user interface development of some of the digital platforms already implemented by Educandus, supporting animation and character design for animated video classes but also to design and develop entire flash games.

I had the pleasure to mainly work in teams but on some occasions also lead my own projects, especially for the flash games development, where I had to understand a little of ActionScript to support developers but also be fully comfortable using Flash as a design tool.
